PHYSICAL LIBRARY CARD
ACCESS TO:
check out books to take home AND have access to digital items on Libby and hoopla (eBooks, audiobooks, etc.)
To get a library card, you will need to come in to either the Main Library or the North Branch with your photo ID.
- If your photo ID does not have your current, Madison County address you will also need to bring something that does (a piece of mail, a bill, etc.)
- If you do not live, work, go to school, or own property in Madison County, you will need to pay for an Out of County card at $25/year. Access to pay per use digital resources will require an additional $75 enhanced digital-access fee annually. Out of County cards are only available to patrons who live in counties adjacent to Madison County.
- Those with an out of county address will need to bring proof they work, go to school, or own property in Madison County in order to waive the Out of County fee.
- Children under age 18 must have a parent or guardian present with them to apply for a library card.
